"This is what the LORD has commanded, 'let an omerful of manna be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread that I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you out of the land of Egypt." -Exodus 16:32
When God blessed His people who were starving in the wilderness by feeding them manna, a hidden bread from Heaven, He told them to keep an omer (basket) full of it and pass it down from generation to generation- a reminder of what He had done for them. He wanted future generations to see His goodness and remember the miracles He had performed. I once heard a wise woman, Elisabeth Elliot, explain this story. She talked about how we today should keep our own omers of manna- something that people can look back on and glorify God for what He has done through us. She, like me, did this in the form of writing down her testimonies of God's greatness. He has reminded me through scripture over and over again to glorify Him with the stories of what He has done in my life, so I thought An Omer of Manna was a good fit.

My name is Megan and I am 29 years old. I am a child of God, part time missionary to Honduras, and sponsor to 28 little loves around the world. I love flowers, coffee, and the ocean. As a child of God, I know that He is the Creator of all; and sent His perfect Son, Jesus, to Earth to die and rise again, to pay the penalty for our sins- so all who turn to Him and believe in what He has done can be free from sin and become children of the perfect God. I am His daughter; and the depths of His love amaze me on a daily basis. My goal is to share that love with the world, and specifically with the children I sponsor. I want to raise them up to be the first of many generations raised for the LORD. I advocate for children who are waiting for sponsors through Love Lempira. You can also check out my side blog, Letters to Estefani, where I share letter writing ideas and fun ways to connect with your children.
